In 2025, Vietnam’s rice sector marks a groundbreaking milestone: the successful production of the world’s first low-emission rice. As part of the “One Million Hectares of High-Quality, Low-Emission Rice in the Mekong Delta” program, the first 500 tons of low-emission rice have been exported to Japan at a price of USD 820/ton.
